Explore the WorkJon entered the construction industry with a production builder in Brooklyn, starting with the fundamentals and learning how a home comes together in the field.
Independent residential work across New York's boroughs expanded the scale and design ambition of each project—and developed the habit of resolving details directly with the people building them.
Jon opened Rockwell Developers and spent more than a decade building for exacting clients on Long Island. The experience strengthened his approach to complex estates, highly coordinated interiors, and close collaboration with leading design teams.
The current practice brings those lessons into a focused, hands-on relationship: luxury custom home building as the primary service, with owner's representation available for homeowners who have selected another project team but want Jon's experience on their side.
Jon Bijari Custom Homes appears in LUXE's national directory of honored residential design professionals.

Luxury residential construction demands more than knowing how to assemble a building. It requires an understanding of how design decisions affect structure, systems, procurement, sequencing, finish quality, maintenance, budget, and the homeowner's daily life.
Years in the field make small warning signs easier to recognize. A missing dimension, an uncoordinated transition, a late selection, an unrealistic allowance, or an unanswered responsibility can grow into a major delay or visible compromise. Jon's role is to bring those questions forward early.
The same priorities should survive every phase: the architecture, the homeowner's intent, the level of workmanship, and the agreed financial and schedule controls. Whether Jon is the builder or acting as the homeowner's representative, the work is organized around clear decisions, direct communication, and accountable follow-through.
